Needed Help

Here's the promblem, got a 83 mustang and plan on using chev motor, wanting to make at least 300 RWHP , motor is 350 sbc bored .30 over with 350 turbo trans, car has 7.5 rearend with 373 gears, working with budget, was planing on using 882 heads but heard there prone to cracking, intake is street dominator with 650 holley carb, but may not use if i go with different heads. Thinking about using vortec heads, so have to get new intake as well, but any suggestions on how to make the power build up or which parts to use would be great
Thanks
83 Chevstang

Before I did anything I would first do a mockup fit with a raw block with heads on it to see how to route the exhaust. Some guys did that here many years ago, and the header fabrication was a very slow process, cut and try.
