ok I tried something different. I put 354 gears in the jeep and tired it and it ran like crap. I couldn't get the motor over 5000 rpm's. I thought maybe if I put highers gears in it it would do better boy was I wrong. I will give you the set up and then maybe I can get something out of it. I have a 427 bbc a turbo 350 and a dana 300 transfer case. I have put the 410 gears back in it to finish out the season. What I would like to know. is What would be a good gear to put in it to get the most out of my motor. with the 420 gears I can run drive and hit 6000 rpm's and if I run second I hit 7000. The motor is good up to 7200. I am wanting to get the most of of my motor. I didn't know if a lower gear would be good so I could run it in drive. Also I would also look at running high range if possible but I need I Ideas on what gear would work good with my combo. I tried the high range with the 410 gears and it fell flat on its face. ANy help would be greatly appreciated
