hello all I am thinking of purchasing a 69 for flareside that is almost completely restored, this is only my third car and I am only 16 (all payed for by me). It has a rebuilt inline 6 300 and the part I am worried about No power steering! Just wanted to introduce myself.

PS how hard would it be to add Power Steering and how much?

No Power Steering

BaNe, are you a guy of gal? The standard steering is not that tough to handle even for a gal.. You have to get the truck rolling before you turn the wheel and it turns easily. There are many things you must change starting with the center link then the steering box and then you add the power steering unit and your home free. Try it you just might get used to it. Or find a different truck.

BTW I am a guy

That was the answer I was looking for, the previous owner was wanting to everything original. I on the other hand am looking to get alittle custom my plan is to do things that can be undone and keep any equipment I take off. I plan to add bucket seats and some other things.

To add power steering, all you need is to find a similar truck w/ a 300 six and rod all the parts you nedd. That 6 popper should last you a very long while.
