New 64 comet

Hello I haven't been on here forever. But i finally got my 64 comet. I only paid 300 for it and it was a great deal. I already have it half torn apart too.

Those are nice and light. A 5.0 in one of those is like having a big block in most GM cars.

I plan on big block, mustang II front, custom 4 link, frame connectors.

Open to suggestions.

Full roll cage and subframe connectors. If that thing gets traction is will want to twist. Check the gaps around the doors from time to time.

I want it to look like an early 60's street strip car. Not a gasser. I wanted either painted steels or chrome O.E. Tunnel ram with dual double pumpers. big cam. all the good stuff stupid kids do. i want to build some fender well headers. delete front bumper with a moon tank. And a lot of metal flake.

Ideas are welcome.

Get one of those big cube Ford dinosaurs. 520+ should do nicely. Keep the compression above 11:1, and run a cam with enough lift to just barely miss kissing the piston tops with the valves.

I had one like this when I was about 17, 271 horse, 4 speed Cyclone. Jacked up in the back with the biggest meats I could find, smallest 14 I could find in the front, reversed chromies with caps. I had a blast. Wheel hop was terrible though. If I had it to do all over, a potent 5.0 would scare you. Dan

I want an 11 sec car. That's why I bought it because it is so light.
I was noticing the granny springs on back that's why i was going to use a four link.
Please more ideas.
