new to body work need help on cab corners

i'm building a 63 chevy 1/2 ton short bed fleet. i have built alot of hot rods but never did or watched anyone doing body work. my cab corners are rusted thru. i have looked at many places selling patches, but no sure what to buy. they don't specify what guage steel it is, and there is a big different in prices. so if you have put cab corners on 60-66 chevy truck and can steer me in the right direction on what company to buy from i would appreciate it.
Thanks

I just researched the best Rocker-replacements and this is what I found.

Re-pop parts called "Tri-Plus" are a little heavier and fit good, available a few places but this guy Wes comes highly recommended over at the '67-72 chevy truck forum:

He's at:
Classic Heartbeat Pickup Parts
Olympia, WA
888-338-2502

No I don't represent him in any way, it's just what I printed last night.

You'll need a mig-welder, a die-grinder and you should practice first or find someone who knows what they're doing. It's not too hard. Watch a few youtube videos on mig-welding it may help...

good luck.

thanks for the info. i have all the tools to do the job. i'm very good with a welder fab all my own parts, i just always stayed away from body work as much as possible. and when you buy parts off the internet you dont no what your buying untill it ships to you and i didn't want to get a thin crapy cab corner.
Thanks again.
Randy

Good, my welding stinks. I'll be practicing this summer though...
