Run on root cause is alway caused by high cylinder temperature, the gas is igniting after the ignition is shut off. It can shatter pistons.

to high compression
to low octane fuel
to lean fuel/air mixture
cooling system not properly cooling
timing retarded
wrong heat range spark plugs
carbon on piston tops

Hope this helps

run on

Some people I know wire in an idle stop solenoid.I run a big roller and idle the car at 950.If Im idling for a longtime I blip the throttle,of course thats for oiling, lol.
My initial timing 26 degrees and 34 total,so far my car shuts off cleanly.

Sounds like a fun car, enjoy working out the bugs and good luck.
