New cable lug crimper
Since I'm redoing my battery location therefore the heavy 1/0 wiring, I've decided instead of soldering those big lugs like they are done now, to spend a few bucks and get one of these gadgets. They look like they will do the job, depending on where you buy them can be pricy - though I didn't pay anywhere near the usual advertised price.
Anyone have any experience with them? ![]() QuickCable: Brute Hammer Crimper - The Brute Hammer Crimper is a Hammer type crimp tool, designed to take the abuse of quick strikes against it's "head" to crimp terminals solid and securely. * An inexpensive, simple yet strong crimping tool. * Can be used with: Hammer, Vice or Press. * Can crimp: 8 Gauge to 4/0 Connectors. * Spring-Loaded pin locks the "hammer" in the "up" position for easy loading of connector and cable.
