how do the wheelbase, and track-width compare We put a 48 jeepster on a 78 blazer and it ended up being lots and lots of work. The local GM shop manager put a 50 s studebaker body shell on a new low mileage front wheel drive 'Gm chassis He cut the body skin off and used the Gm floor-chassis, dash wiring steering column seats etc
Disk brakes and power steering can be an asset. First thing though is to find the end game for your car and then work from there to implement your vision of the finished car. I would suggest looking up some pictures of cars you like in google images and print those out then make a plan to get there..
