As much as I hate to say it, Hotwheels55 is right regular TV is just a setting for the commercial. Low buck Rods don'r sell to Madison Ave. Public TV is all about quality but you've got to be National Geographic or such to be on prime time. We'd be on at 3:00 in the am, not that I'm not up at 3:00 but I usually too blurry eyed to even see a TV by then!

Offer cardboard patterns or even copies of pattern to scale so people can build thier own stuf. I hate to say this, but I don't think your idea, nice as it is, will make it unless you go the route others have. There isn't any money in Low Buck.

Get a group of Hooter's girls together and teach them about building a car. Shoot them under the hood, gettin dirty, breakin stuff, adding stuff, and once in a while, fake an accomplishment from one of them. If you don't end up with a car by the end of the season, someone will buy into the chicks.

Hey, it hasn't been tried yet. If you do it, I want 3% total revenue.

Thumbs up

Our local cable station is always offering their studio to the public and air time on an obscure channel. I've often thought how cool it would be to do something like what foggy wants. Good luck. I hope you do it.

Have you seen that show "car reborn" or something like that? The one I saw was a Brit rebuilding a Jag rdstr. Not the topic we are talking about here but the show was pretty good, showed how to do things, how to rebuild everything, even showed leading dings in the fender. I thought it was better than the other shows. Has anybody seen that joke string that i read last night? I want to show that Rot Rutton Hut joke to a friend. Thanks.

How about visiting small town Hot Rod builders and individual builders in Tennessee and the surrounding area. Could contact car owners that are having their vehicles built at these and find out why. Could go into planning , budget and selections.Have an update segment in each show on progress being made on selected projects from these builders. Bud

Unfortunately, this thread is more than three years old. The original poster is long gone...along with the TV show.

I have to agree with all that's been said. Make a program that us "work for living" joes can appreciate and may even afford. I would love to see a build from start to finish with average parts, by average people. No crazy mustache, no crazy music, no crazy camera angles, lame interviews or weird lighting.

I wouldn't be able to wait for the next episode if we had something like that.

LOL, I learned my lesson on that one. ALWAYS look at the original thread date. No sense responding to someone that might not even be around.
And now "Foggy" is producing "Overhaulin"..
Glad the ideas given worked out
LMAO

I hope that "Foggy" wasn't wearing a thong and being the Anti-Christ of the hotrodding world in the pilot to his show proposed three years ago.

Hey Z-Money Pit!

Were still waiting for finished pictures of your truck. Let's get with the program! Ha Ha just kidding

Seriously though, I know I and others have been watching but still haven't seen the finished product. It would be cool if you could post some. Thanks

How about a Hot Rod build off? Have two hot rod shops build two cars. Then when the build is done, DRIVE them to a car show and pick a winner.
