whatever you do, good luck to you. like the other guys said do a show based on projects being built by the average joe and not by some yuppie who thinks that c.i.d is some guys initials. The average hard working guy who busts balls all week at work and then spends all his free time building his own street rod is the kinda guy i like to refer to as a true car guy, and that will make for a good program. And if you do make it big congrats but do remember where you came from and dont let the fame blind you from what is real hot rodding and what can be bought without lifting a finger.And please dont end up like the Tuttles and show off your hummer or benz and who really cares if your gonna build a dock at your pond. just keep it real and you will do just fine.

THAT, I would watch. Same as the Biker Build offs, just with cars. Show them on the side of the road, fixing what broke...without a support vehicle!
No prima donna shops though..real hot rod shops. The kind of shop that the owner still drives the shop truck home at the end of the day.

PLEASE if you do a show try to put owner built cars on. We build some beautiful cars too. We usually don't have the $$$$$$ into them that the big spenders have, but we have something worth a lot more, We have Blood, Sweat, and Tears into our cars. We spend hours, days, years, trying to get this and that to work properly only to find out that it's backwards, then we cuss, throw things around, get another beer and start over. WHY?? because we LOVE what we do. (Maybe Too Much Sometimes) But we do it anyway, and all the money Bill Gates has can't buy that. OH Yea! And I do know what color MY Hot Rod is!!

try watching the Speed Channel show called CHOP-CUT-REBUILD.
they do some good stuff about HOW TO build stuff.

Don't try to make it a drama. I don't think anybody liked the way Boyd and the Tuttle's were always arguing.Also as has been stated use cars that are mostly built by their owners.

Show some mistakes that we all make, trim panel twice ,now its to short., along with suggestions above ,Real world builds not exotics most of us cant afford. Shoukld have read date first

I think the car info stuff is kind of boring for non car guys to care about. I think it would be awesome to have a good car guy who does it all set up a program that rehabilitates non violent criminals in the justice system. Like maybe a diversion program instead of jail and have a show about the successes and failures of the guys going thru it. you can have your body guys, your tech nerd, your jailbird tattoo artist learning to airbrush, etc-etc/..some will make it, some won't, but a lot of tv drama in between. Just look at the success of any car show and it will either be simple tips for a DIY'er or it will have drama. If it gets all super techy with great info the viewers will zzzzzzzzzzzz. C'mon this America we're talking about!

A Car show should be about CARS if people are not interested they could tune to Opra ,or check local hospitals see if they have transplants where they can get a pair ,since they didnt grow any.trere us always ballet ,sincronized swimming ,knitting many others for non car guys.

it's my opinion and I'm entitled to it. Thanks to the side drama on American Hotrod it's still on TV. Without the drama that show would have been canceled a long time ago. I'm grateful for that show. If you want strictly car stuff watch Lazze on youtube, but I bet you got something to complain about on that too.
