new crate 350/TH350 what torque converter?

I have a new crate engine for my 76 camaro. I am putting in a rebuilt TH350. Is there a better option than a "stock" torque conver the rebuilder wants to sell me? He will be installing the transmission and I can take my choice of Torque Converter with me. There is no fancy cam installed, and I don't have time or money anyway; but I'd like to put the best TC I can in while the tranny is out. What can I get away with in my mostly stock ENG/Trans?

i don't know----i'm going to go out on a limb and say that if the engine/cam is basically stock then the stock converter is probably the best way to go.

That's what i would do anyways.

Which crate motor ??

Some of them can really benefit with a high stall converter.
EG: the 350 290HP crate motor. can use a 3000+stall
and some gears. Can also really benefit from a cam. swap.

The 1969 11:1 cr era camshshaft that comes in this 8.5:1 cr motor is lame
in a low compression ratio motor.
