The New Cuda

Well, not quite, but I was looking at a concept model for a '75 Cuda a week or so ago, and noticed how much it resembled a stretched out Mitsubishi Eclipse.
That planted a seed in my twisted little brain; so I got to playing around with the idea, and I knew it was meant to be when I superimposed the Eclipse over a 71 Cuda and except for the rear axle being 13" further back, it fit perfectly from the windshield back.

The long nose is reminiscent of a viper. I hope the cuda doesnt end up looking like a mitsubishi.
It should look like the old cuda. Look how they did the challenger. It wouldnt take much to change that to a retro cuda look.

I was thinking along the lines of a 60's Ferrari, but you have a point

My thinking was the other way around: That the Mitsubishi was inspired by some of the last Cuda prototypes - Look at the rear quarters in particular.
One version had big square headlights, and looked like a cross between a Superbird and a GT-40
I love the way the new Challengers look from the front, but it's just wrong from the side

I thought the new challenger is a perfect retro design. Captures the lines nicely. just my opinion.

It looks scrunched up to me. To illustrate, I've done a little chop job (lengthened 16" and sectioned 3") to give it the proportions of a '71 for comparison
