Post new to da motor building game

rebuilding a stock 350. will be putting it in a s10.whats the best size cam to go with?

The cam you put in is determined by the heads you have, by the most part. what kind of heads are on the motor? What did the motor come out of? What are the numbers off the heads? With out this info too big of cam could detsroy the valve train.

it has stock heads but when i start building it i`m going with 202 camel back heads any suguestions?

For a hydraulic cam I've had awesome luck with comp cam's extreme energy line. Something like an XE 268 or X274 part number would be great for your application. They make good lift without having to run up the duration, also they seem to have the widest powerband of any brand of hydraulic cam I've ever used and I've used them all.
