Hi. Im Thinking About A New Project And Just Want To Hear What You Guys Think. Im Planning On Buying A 84 Mustang Fox Body V6 For About $1500. I Think Its A Little Much But Since I Am Stripping The Car Of The Interior And Motor, I Could Sell The Stuff At The Next Swap Meet. The Car Seems To Be In Good Shape But I Will Put Pics Up Later. I Want To Strip The Car Down To Make It Lighter And Put A V8 In The Car. What Type Of V8 Motor I Do Not Know. Ill Post Pics Later. What Do You Guys Think.

Why a mustang? Why not a odd body style that is not done so much. Just wondering. Everbody does mustangs or camaros. If you set on a ford ,why not a Fairmont or a car that share the underpinning of the fox body ..they light and mustang mods work on them too. Oh and they dirt cheep. JMO Tim

Prices of Fairmonts are going up, becuase people are doing the same thing w/ them.
I wouldn't spend $1,500 on a body... you might sell the interior but you won't get much out of the V6 and it's trans.

The Reason A Mustang Is Because My Friends Father Is Selling His 84 Mustang. The Car Has An Aftermarket Ignition And I Believe It Also Comes With A Supercharger And All The Parts To Make It Run ( Not Installed ). The Kid Who The Guy Bought It From Raced The Car But Didn't Have Time To Install The Supercharger. It Also Could Be Street Legal If I Put A New Exhaust System On It. Since This Will Be My First Drag Car Build, I Think I Might Keep The V6 But Fix It Up And Install The Supercharger, And Then Down The Road I Can Install A Bigger Motor. Here Are Some Pics. New Paint Job Is A Must.
