new engine for a 29 chevy truck

I have a chevy 1 1/2 ton truck that I am restoring and am debateing on wether I should rebuild the original 6 cyl. or replace it with a new more reliable engine.

What would be a few choices that people have used and what else would I have to replace? the Transmission rear end....?

I want the easyiest and most economical way to get this truck on the road again for now.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Maybe someone can tell me info about the engine it already has?

its a 6 cyl overhead Valves

194 cubic inches

I have heard others call it a "stovebolt six"

46 Horsepower?

I am just getting this from another website that talks about the engine.

I guess you would call this a Chevy 194 ?

Any info greatly appreciated in refference to restoration or swapping.

29 chevy

I would leave it with the original engine. They are easy to rebuild. These old chevy trucks are getting harder to find.
