new engine please help...

Ok so I have a company that makes race engines building me a 350 bored 30 over with flattop pistons a mild cam&a double roller timing chain &I was gonna use my 58cc 116 305 heads...I've talked about this alot&I know they raise the compression alot&they have bad airflow what I'm wondering is am I gonna be able to run pump gas?I thought they were poerted but someone told me today they wernt,I can have a 3angle valve job done for free but will they be good to put on there?...I'm not buying anyother heads so PLEASE don't even mention it.The guy who is building my motor said he would put the heads on the intake&carb dist oil pan etc set the timing&put it on the dyno all for 230 so I don't know if I should have him do that or if I should do it myself I'm concernd about the heads

why are you worried about the heads if you aren't considering swapping them out for something better? bolt them on and run it.

Run the 305 heads, we will teach you how to tune it so it will run on pump gas. We`ve already did this same combo in the past and made it work so I am sure we can teach you how to do the same. I think you`ll be surprised at it when it`s finished.

Being you`ve had trouble and etc then sure, let him do so especially being the extra work is for free.

The knowledge learned while tuning an engine on a dyno is irreplaceable. You can change the tune up and see the results as quickly as starting the engine. Good luck.
