I think you need to run it "nicely" for a little while before romping on it with a new roller cam, but I don't know... I would like to know the answer to this also guys...

As long as everything is well lubed on startup. There is no actual break in on a roller cam.

You don't need any break in with a roller cam. Just make sure everything is safe and drive it.

No need to break in the roller camshaft but being a new engine, some people like to take certain steps to ensure the rings seat properly, depends on what your using, your call on that one. Good luck

No wonder all the new cars use them lol. Ahh the wonders of of modern tech.

As long as the lifters aren't worn out, you can reuse old roller lifters on a new cam too.

So i can assume no break in is required on the engine then...
For sure i will run some miles on it before cranking it

thanks,

You still need to seat the rings and change the oil and filter after the first 1/2 hour.

Even with a roller setup we still break in the motor on the dyno the same as a flat tappet, for 1/2 hour running motor at 2200-2500 RPM with light load monitoring water temps and oil pressure. Drain oil, cut and inspect filter.
