New Firebird hood hitting the market soon!

I'm in final negotiations with a local glass company to duplicate my custom Firebird hood!!! What do you guys think?

ok...you asked........not my cup-o-tee...looks like a ford scoop on a gm hood. ....but the rest of the car looks good.

Thanks for the honest response! Exactly what i was looking for.

Actually, it's a GM hood on a GM vehicle.

I really haven't thought too much about how to market it. Maybe start somewhere like e-bay....

Drew - seems like you should figure out the market FIRST before negotiating to have them built. This reminds me of my staff of developers at work. They always want to create some new cool technology thing...that none of our users has asked for!

I agree. I have tested the water briefly before....just after I finished the hood that's on my car now. At the time I had atleast 10 people "interested", but couldn't afford the mold. Now I've found another local glass guy that is about half price on the mold, but more on the individual pieces. So if I sell 10 I have less initial investment, but brake even about the same time.

An ebay store would be an easy marketplace for starters. Post on any firebird and camaro sites etc. A friend of mine is putting together a front end conversion package to change the front of a 04 style mustang over to an 05 style. Lots of hours of fabrication to make the plugs for the moulds. Then it'll be time to market the product.
