new to the game

been working with cars for a long time, found some old cars i would like to buy, 1 especially. owner says its a 48 oldes fastback. looked at pictures online and it looks close but litte differencs. anyone know

The photo is way to small and poorly exposed to see details needed to make a proper identification. But that looks like a GM fastback of the late forties to me.

I believe it's a 40-41 Buick, the "port holes" in the side below the hood is a dead give away.

late 20s hurst

was told this was a late 20s hurst, anyone have any ideas looks kinda cool

That is later than the twenties, it looks like mid to late thirties. I have always loved the "service" vehicles like Hearsts and cop cars and the like.

Did a little search, it's a 36 Oldsmobile.

Well if you have an idea what it is....all I did was go to google, click on "image" and put 1936 Pontiac and look at the photos and see if they look like that Hearst. The photos didn't so I changed it to 1935 Pontiac and then the photos didn't then I changed to 1935 Oldsmobile they didn't so I switched to 1936 Oldsmobile and wham, there was a page covered with photos of cars with that very distinct little chrome trim on the side of the hood.
