Craig, I have been to the Big Show at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the past few days. I think you are referring to the mounting brackets welded to the top of the cross member that served as the attaching points to the side track trolleys. I welded two tabs made from 1/2 inch plates to the top of the beam so they would act like a clevis to attach to the side trolleys. I can see where this attaching point would have been stronger by welding to the end, but I was wanting as much side to side range of motion I could get. The top mounted tabs were located so there was 1/2 inch clearance between the end of the cross beam and the vertical posts, giving me maximum lifting coverage.

Looks good Trees,
I would take some close up picks of how you did the mounting point For the DIY people. It would make a cool project for the guys that want one.
