New GP has SUPERCHARGED v8

I was 'building' a new Grand Prix for myself, and I came across this and took a screenshot.

Too bad it only makes 260hp, 280ft lbs.

Whatever happened to 375HP 327ci v8s I do not know. They had cast iron heads, mechanical fuel injection, ancient port and combustion chamber design.

Well, old must be better then. I'd hate to see the specs on the N/A v8, lol.

p.s. I honestly think the supercharged part is a typo. What happened to the 300hp v8?

gotta be a typo. The supercharged 3.8 makes 260hp. They mixed up the engines.

1st thing, o.0 dollars for that.....ermm i would have to say type o also...i would think that a supercharged v8 would be a $chargable$ option and have higher output than that..

2nd thing, why r u using the sbc browser, its loaded with spyware from what i hear on broadband reports forums, along with the internet connection center from the sbc cd. If your not already (isee the sbc connection rocket in your running processes, get rid of it), open up the sbc cd and just copy the ethernet/enternet folder to yor pc and setup enternet300 manually, bypass all the other junk and just use that to connect to your dsl. And find a better browser

If you click on that link it'll take youto the engine options. It's definitely a typo. The 5.3 is the same DOD 5.3 available in the Chevy cars now. They also list it as an LS4 now. Interesting...

Actually, I wouldn't even do that, best thing to do is manually set up a PPPoE connection, and not even use the included disc. But since he's already installed, I wouldn't even revert back just yet, just keep rocking it out untill he's behind a router or decides to get rid of it when he gets bored. The browser definatly wouldnt be my first choice, but I wouldnt say it comes bundled with "spyware". It's more like it's bundled with "crapware" or "junkware" if you will. It's just extra stuff that will never be used, but doesnt hurt your system. At most, it just takes up useless viewable space in the browser, and tries to use more system resources (a negligable amount on a fairly new computer)

We got one here at work, it's pretty cool, but if I had a choice I would get a GXP Bonneville-(Northstar)

GM has 2 versions of the N*, a high torque version used in luxury models/limos and a higher hp version used in the sportier cars (coupes)

they also have 2 axle ratios, one for highway used in the sedans, one for a bit more acceleration which I would guess be used in the limos to help the awful weight/power and of course the sportier models.

The last Bonnie used the high-torque N* with the performance axle ratio. Makes for a sweet ride as far as I'm concerned.
