New Guy from Cleveland

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

I'm new to the board, but not new to cars. I'm a grease monkey and do my own work on my car. Right now I own a 1994 Dodge Intrepid, and I have a 1991 Mercury Cougar that I just gave to my 16-year-old son. Both cars need some work, and neither one is a "hot rod." But I think I can squeeze out some extra horsepower from my lil' 3.3 V-6 in the Dodge...not going to the track mind you, and definitely not wanting it to look like one of those "pimped" cars with decals, wings, and rims that are bigger than the tires. The Intrepid is also not a "project car" either. I just want to make it perform better than the factory.

I am taking my time looking for a "project car". I'm quite a fan of 1958, 1962, and 1966 Thunderbirds. I also like early to mid-sixty Mercuries, especially the "Montclairs" with the power rear windshield and 390-4 barrel. I like the old Plymouths and Chrysler 300's (the OLD letter series). For GM's I like just about any OLD Oldsmobile or Buick, particularly the Riviara's and Wildcats. I think I am as crazy about Mustangs as I am Corvettes, I'd love to someday own one of each.

I also keep an eye out on the newer cars, too, because these electronic machines are fast becoming the norm. So I also enjoy reading about the new engines and learning how to work with hoses and sensors.

I only posted one picture to my gallery which is of my Intrepid. I am using a new computer that is hard to get used to, but I will post some more when I get them from my old hard drive.

I also have "lurked" on this site and have noticed a few controversies. But I also see good information too. Hopefully, I'll find some performance ideas for my Dodge. Thanks for letting me join, and if anyone is here in Cleveland, or Ohio, I send you my "high-fives" and "props!"

PS - I am NOT a BROWNS fan-that stopped when they moved to Baltimore. I have been a loyal PITTSBURG STEELERS fan since then (in spite of this pathetic year!)

Hey Joseph! It's nice to meet you. That was probably as honest an introduction as I have read lately! And I love honesty! Thanks!
