Welcome, but take it from me, I've been painting a long time and you don't want to rush the bodywork. Make sure the body is straight before you even think about painting. Your car won't look very cool with this shiny new paint that looks like it was sprayed over cottage chease. Take your time do two or three or even more guide coats then when your sure its straight lay down the final paint. Remember the paint is the first thing everyone will see so make it great. If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me or ask through here.

Take your time bro...There is NO hurry when it comes to perfection. I would rather take my time and do it right once than rush it 3 or 4 times.
There is nothing wrong with cruising in primer I have a primer t-shirt that I wear to the car shows that says "I like mine with NO shine". Always pisses off the alumi-rod guys. Later, WEIMER |

Well I finished painting her and she looks good. The paint guys at my friends work gave me the wrong color, a sky blue. I wanted it to be a midnight blue, but what the heck it painted right? I worked every day after work sanding and now it is good to relax by going on a cruise through neighborhoods. I will try to get a pic

Very nice, dude. Definitely 1HOTRYD.
I saw your profile, you are 17. That's real cool. I'm 17 too. I like it that there are still a couple of youth like us that are into the old hot rods instead of these rice burners (my SHARK eats RICE for dinner ). I have a '78 Vette, and I love every ounce of that Shark. ![]() Good luck with the ride and take care of her. Have fun!!
