New here.

Hi am new here, I live in oregon the lower part. I have a 1972 Vw super bug that i am fixing up. I just turned 16 last month and my parents thought it would be cool to get me a bug that I have to fix up, well the price to fix it is right around 400 bucks and yeah well I gotta do it if I want to drive. I shaved it taking off all the trim and emblems and that stuff, i primered it black and i am gonna get it painted by one my friends dads for the price of the paint and thats it. I am going to redo the interior and put a good system in it and all that good stuff. Just thought I would say hi and introduce my self.

Peace,
Wil

Welcome. I've had a few Bugs in my time also. The last one had the big 'n little Cragars, air shocks, nice stereo system, custom interior....I loved to drive that car. Fill it up and drive it forever. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress with some pics.

Kevin

Hi Wil, welcome!... When I was a kid, I had a 56 split window bug, paid 50 bucks for it and just drove it into the ground, bummer - I wish I had it now. A Bug done right these days is riotous! Around 15 years ago, I went to the indoor mud-bog drags and tractor pull here in town. There was this blown alcohol Bug with hydrostatic 4WD and paddles all the way around - the "Alcoholic" was airbrushed on the doors. It cleaned the house out in the mud races. When he poured the juice to that baby, it skittered across the mud so quick, I swear you could see daylight under those paddles! My ears still ring just thinking about it.

It's good to have somebody else from Oregon on this Board.
Have fun with the VEEWEE. They be Kool...

Oh... Here is one of the baddest Pro-Mod VeeWee's on the planet!

I'm on my 4th bug. This 71 is will be getting a 327/350, 9", MII front and custom frame. I got quite a few projects ahead of it though, so hope a few years down the road I can get on to it. Luv them bugs!
