New High Torque Starter Connection prob .
 

Ok Guys ,, Here is my thing on this New Starter ..

I have a 70" BBC .. I swaped the old starter of the engine , & I got me a Mini starter ..

I got it all hooked up & tried to start the car .. BUt The starter would just spin ..
The Shaft would not come out of its shell for some reason ..

It just spins ... ( I was thinking I might have switched the wires wrong )

I gave up ,, & I took the starter to get checked ,,, & It checked good ..

They hooked it up to the tester ,, & shaft came out properly ,,, The way it was supposed to ..

So I took it home & tried switching the wires around again , But It still did the same thing (Nothing but just spin ) Without the shaft coming out ...

Can someone please Help .... ?

The wiring harness & car is a 72 Camaro ... Stock starter had 3 wires connected to it , PLus the Battery cable ...

is the battery strong enough? if so check the ground. sounds like it is not getting enough voltage to spin fast enough to engage the bendix
