New HOK Clear

HOK is getting ready to introduce a new clear. It's called USC-01 Show Clear. They are also working on a blue shade apple red. The old UK-11 is a yellow shade. Also in the works is a new candy pink that is more resistant to fading than the old one. A new primer is also in the works. This surfacer can also be mixed as a sealer. It will come in medium gray, black, white, yellow, red and blue. I've tried the Show Clear and am very impressed with the ease of sanding and buffing and the overall look. Since HOK reps are few I thought I would pass on this info for the hardcore HOK users. I have a gallon of the new primer and will report on it as soon as I use it.

I'm not sure about the cost but if I can find out I'll gladly let you know. I was told it would be released either November or December 2010. It uses the latest and greatest resin technology. The mixing ratio is 3:1:1 and uses a new catalyst KU-152 and reduced with the RU reducers. It can be sanded and buffed next day but 48 hours is recommended. It is also a new learning process as you must wait until it's out of dust before applying the next coat. This clear also has nice depth. It's a medium solid clear and each coat is about 1 mil.
