New to HotRodders

I figured I'd tell everyone a little about myself since I'm new here. I'm a Junior Civil Engineering major at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. I have a 1990 Chevy K-5 Blazer with 6" lift and 37x12.50x17 Wrangler MTRs. I've been having problems with my heads on my stock 350, so I decided to build a 383 stroker. I was origionally planning on keeping the TBI, but from what I've gathered it's not going to be able to push the gas that I need. So now I run into the problem of converting my TBI to a carb. I have a thread going in the ENGINE category if anyone wants to offer some advice.

Check out Speedway's catalog there may be something there and look around a bit on line. I'm sure your not the first to run across this problem. Ask people here:

I would keep the fuel injection. There are stock parts from a higher performance engine that you can use to make the 383 work. I don't know what application you would get them from, or what is involved but a few of the other guys on this board would know. Start a new thread asking for that information.
