new kobalt- tank is hot

Maybe this is normal, but my new kobalt compressors tank gets very hot. More so on the top than the very bottom. The top of the tank you can't put ur hand on it for more than a second. Is this normal or is something wired wrong, or wrong with the compressor?

This can be hot from just a fill up or running pretty much constant. It was hot from the first time I filled it up. Everytime it fills up or just runs the tank is hot.

Most run pretty hot.. The pumps make a good bit of heat and just the air compressing in the tank makes heat. Not being able to hold your hand on the tank seems to hot. Unless you have a sensitive hand.
