new leaf springs

ok i am putting different leaf springs in my truck a nd drop shackles and got everything bolted in but can't get the shackle to bolt up the spring is hitting the bottom of the bed and can't bend it down to bolt up any help would be appreciated.

I dont know if this is the correct way but the way I do it is put a small jack on the leafspring and jack against the frame till its in place.
