Yo, new here. working over a '59 chevy apache short bed, hot rod style.
Been at it about 2 1/2 years. Rebuilt 350/350; stock rearend stock front end; monoleafs all 4 corners; aluminum gas tank at rear underbed; new wheel earings and kingpins; rack & pinion unit bolted to I-beam; p/s pump; new power master cyl. (under cab) with front discs/stock rear drums; Lokar stick shifter; ididit coloumn.
Motor is getting machined 40 over, new flt tops, mild cam, rebuilt HP heads.
Body work done, primed and satin black finish ongoing. frame is cleaned up and painted.
Often hard to get motivated but all in all, a good hobby.
Spend time on 47 to present chevy truck forums; lots of good opeople and info there. I love classic chevy trucks.

Ogre, what color is your truck? I found a spray can that looks exactly like it called Sunburst Yellow which I'm using to paint my accessories and I'm looking for a factory car with that color for my painter to get the formula for my truck.
