New Mustang II Crossmember!

I would like to ask if any of you have heard or used any crossmembers from Jim Weimer's Rod Garage? I and my father just purchased one of his crossmembers for our 1938 chevy pickup, the crossmember is a little different from like say fat man's and heidts, and so forth, so i was wondering if there happen to be anyone out there that has put such crossmember under there car or truck and do they like it. Thanks and hope to hear from somebody soon.. The Taylors.

Here is a site i just did so you can see what the crossmember looks like,

You can go to this webpage and see what i am talking about if the crossmember looks right to you all out there.. I have just clamped it in place and a jack underneighth to hold it up.
let me know what you think, and am i going the right way in doing the crossmember.. Goto this webpage and click on pictures, at www.msnusers.com/chevypickupbuild

Looks like you have a good start locating the cross member. I am not familiar with your kit so do you instructions tell you where to mount the spring cap? It looks as though it should rest on the top of the cross member that sticks out side the frame. That should get it level and give it the strength it needs (cross member acts as a gussett). I know you are going to box the frame after you sand blast it.

By the way, I think I come through/by Mound Valley on my way hunting in Southwest Ks. I travel US166 to Ks 15 then US 160 to Coldwater. If I'm close, I'll stop by to scope out your truck over a cup of coffee.
