Hello,

I have just bought a 29 chevy fire truck and am going to start looking into restoring it into a plain truck. and I am not sure what direction to take it. I would like it to look as original as possible, but don't have a large budget, so I don't mind cutting some corners now.

I am thinking of a parade truck that looks good, not a show truck. I was thinking it might be cheaper to do a chassis swap to get the project started if there is a chassis that would allow me to use simular wheels. It has no cab so I think I would just leave it like that if it looked right. the bed I thought would look nice if it were a flatbed or wooden side panels.

Thats about it. I can use all the help I can get so don't hesitate offer suggestions.
