New/ Old dizzy tach output?

On the old style HEI dizzy(80ish) there was a place for a tach wire.
On the newer style dizzy(97ish) there are 3 wires 2 i assume are for the hall effect sensor.
Is the 3rd a tach signal wire?
Thanks
