Martin and BarryK...let me ask this...I have read so many times where people use lacquer thinner to remove something from paint or wipe a piecce of plastic before painting it. Back 15 years and maybe more when I was painting, we always used enamel thinner to wipe something down as the lacquer thinner was too "hot" and would melt the plastic, or actually start softening the paint. Has things changed or is it still that way?

Kevin

In early to late 70's all we ever used was 3816 or 3616?? Dupont enamel reducer. Worked good.
Use lacquer thinner or enamel reducer on a TPO, TEO bumper today and it won't matter what adhesion promoter you use.
The wax and grease removers to day are cheap and of good grade so there really is no reason to take a chance.
