I'm picking it up next week. It has a rebuilt 6 and a 4 speed. Anyone know any problems with this year truck? I think I'll keep the 6 in it till all the rest of the mods are done. I have almost everything for my build up. Tilt, PW, Door Poppers, 9" and 4 link w/3:73 an alburn l/s, and new stitched seats.

I'm thinking about channeling it but I will have to wait to see what suspension I decide to run. And I'm thinking about a radical nose job and spraying it in Chromeillusion to top it off.

Then I will decide on what motor to use.

Decisions, decisions!!!

It should only take me 2 years to complete. LOL. I have about 4 projects left in front of it.
Soooo many projects soooo little time. At least the first 4 are paying jobs.

Good luck!! should be sweet when you are done. My father has a 66 f100 with a 351 in it and custom tilt nose.

One thing you may want to keep an eye on is the rain channel on the top of the cab has a tendency to rot out pretty bad and as most old trucks the cabcorners too.

Is it short bed or long bed?

It's a short bed!!! Needs much in the body end but not from rust. It was grandpa's farm hauler. It's been painted about 5 times with tractor paint. Striping it will be the hardest part. But at least all that paint helped to keep it rust free. Only found 2 little holes in the body so far. The floor and corners are still solid as well.

I tryed to buy this truck 2 years ago. But at least now its mine. <img src="graemlins/mwink.gif" border="0" alt="[mwink]" />

Makes me sad. :(

There's nothing quite like the attitude of an old Ford truck. Especially when its manual steering and a 3-speed on the column and your dad tells you, you'll never be able to drive it. Shows what he knows.

I was always getting stopped when at the store or a red light, and someone wanting to chat about the '65. My favorite question was always "is that yer daddy's truck?" Do you see my daddy driving it?
