Here is one that just got started on. Lots of rust to deal with and not a lot of sheetmetal available. Will be a full frame off/rottissorie restoration. Should be a lot of fun.

Pretty ambitious, you are rocking and rolling along though.

I'm sure it's going to be another fabulous restoration but, did that car come from Ontario, Canada? I thought we we're the only guys that had rust like that LOL...that dash is quite the deal and I bet no parts for them either, right. I did a Nova a few years ago with a dash, well not quite as bad as that but, it took a bit of time making the replacement metal fit...I think I would have been better off with a donor dash. At least the car this car is in good hands.

New england sheetmetal does get pretty rusty, believe me, harsh winters and tons of salt need I say more. No full quarters, no conv inner or outer wheel houses, and no upper dash available. Could really use full quarters on this one, so will have to the best with what is there. Will keep posting pics through out the process.

Yeah I know what you mean about salt...I think up here in Ontario they pave the roads with just saves them the time of having to spread it in winter...LOL

you eastcoasters like swiss cheese with your sheet metal don't you? Man, that dash looks like it's been sitting next to the Titanic. We truly got it good in Cali with our little 2" square patches for "rust".

Got into some more rust repair and some very poor collision repair (what a mess) luckily was able to locate a good donor quarter and rear valance off another 442 conv to graft in a nice repair. Then will have to fix the rusted areas on the "new" quarter.

Cool car. I hope it will still sport an Olds engine.

I second this sentiment.

WOW...does that car know how lucky it is that it's getting rebuilt? Lots of work Dennis and all looks great. Just a quick many tape measures do you ware out doing a build like that? Very ambitious build, but, I know it's in capable hands. Keep us updated.

Best Regards

Customer has the 400 olds motor rebuilt and ready to go, somebody dropped a 455 buick in this at some point. Ray the question really is how many cut off wheels does it take?? (quite a few) Will be covered in metal filings for a few more days....Will keep posting pics as I go......

Making more progress on this 442 with most of the bodywork done, final blocking of the poly primer almost finshed, then it will be coated with epoxy after the final sanding of poly. Once that is all in the epoxy it will come off the chassis, then all bodywork begins on the underside of the shell.
