I was wondering if anyone knew a place that sells complete rearends for first gen camaros,

or if its possible to rebuild a stock one and for how much$$??

what would be the better route, i plan on using for street/strip

Rebuild it, just do your research and take the time to do it right. There are many good threads here that deal with this...use the search function.

a new rear would be huge bux for that car. Probably about 2-3 grand. Rebuilding one, however, might cost you anywhere between 100-700 bucks depending on how bad the parts are...
