New to the site. Have a few questions.

Hello all, I am glad to have found a great forum site like this one. Hopefully you guys can help me out. I recently bought a rebuilt 1979 350 out of a Monte Carlo and swapped it into my truck. It may have a very mild cam in it but I am not entirely sure. I am new to the valve train game and my main question is I bought a set of Dart heads and they have the deck height shaved ten thousandths. I was wondering if I had to worry about valve contact and how to measure for proper pushrod lenght. Any help would be great. thank you.

I wouldn't worry too much about the ten thousandths being shaved off.. but it will increase your compression slightly, and i'd maybe use a digital dial caliper to measure your push rod length.
