I just bought the Ridgid R4141, and it is awsome. cast iron base, large clamp and fence. lifetime maintinance parts ( brushes, switches ect... ). $179 from the HD..little research shows the same company that makes Ridgid and Ryobi for the HD makes a lot of power tools for the Sears Craftsmen brand, and chop saws being some of those tools..

I was looking for the Milwaukee 6180-20 but no local supplier had it. it too had a cast base.. The DeWalt that is currently available is pretty much a joke compared to the Ridgid, and $20 more..
