How did you do the blue chrome?

Blue tinted Clear over the Silvered piece..

I used the you tube icon button on the reply page and put -PKJsZX1Lt4 from the video address in the address bar on the pop up.

when I get time(very bussy right now with my spray on chrome business) I will let you guys now how to build your own..

I used to work in a chrome shop that had been around since the 1960s. They also did coatings for magnesium, cadmium plating and gold/silver plating

The process they use now is still 'chrome' in that its copper base with nickle and chromium on top, however the copper cyanide had been removed from the equation, due to its expense and the harmful side effects of too much exposure...not to mention dealing with the spent liquids.

However, now the hot etching liquids used on steel are harder and harder to dispose of...hence more plastic. Add on to the fact, no one wants to polish copper and fill scratches for $8 here in America.

There are good quality, safe, american plating shops...and we need to support them, however if they chrome parts for American car manufacturers, the plating shop needs to be Union, which drives up the cost some more...
