If you guys watched the video of the metal and bodywork on the 67 RS most of the paint is done. This was never supposed to be a showcar but I wanted to shut some big mouths up with my bodywork.

This quarter should have been replaced but oh well.

thanks. We were excited about how it turned out. It was stripped, a train wreck, and only had 3 coats of PLC primer in total,.

This car made me happy cause we have a know it all big mouth in the shop and he's always harassing everybody. I never responded back to him with the hostility he has but it felt good to see the car painted cause it was supposed to be an in and out and it came out just as good as a car he primed three or four times, and ad that to a boss that doesn't know much about the trade other than I have the least amount experience in the shop...it felt good to see this.

A finish like that straight off the gun would have no doubt shut the big mouth up. There are ways to deal with people like that. Too much hardener in his paint, sudden dust storm in the paint booth , a bottle full of angry wasps in the workshop. Cold air has been known to take the shine off a top finish.

thanks. He's a painter and is always trying to tell me how to do my work but my bodywork destroys his. He uses this little baby spreader and right off the bat with just how he spreads I knew he was full of it.

Funny thing, the other day he's telling me to turn my buffer up while stripping a hood cause I had it on super low. I told him I didn't want to warp it. He then says, "you think after 20 years I don't know what I'm doing?". I said, "I never said that but that I've done it long enough to know a buffer can easily warp a hood." He just walked away. What I didn't tell him was how his son stripped the green Camaro and warped the hood to hell. He also grinded off a lot of high spots with the buffer too. The speed was so high it melted the paint into the scratches. I really wanted to tell the loud mouth that his son, who learned from him, had no clue what he was doing.

Lol!, some fOlks you just can't reach. Nor should you. Once they fall off their high horse, they may then be approachable. Enjoy the laughs bro!

Thats a beautiful job;;; as for the loud mouth,, there is no way to shut jerks like that up. what they don't know isn't worth knowing, in their conceaded mind,,
I like the idea of the sudden sand storm that blew through the booth,,, or a drop or 2 of stripper in the gun,,

Riding you like that is envy in him,,, no known cure,, just ignore him,,,, is that the car owner , with the red shirt and camera in hand?
