it's a long one but it gives you a good general idea about panel alignment.

Henry, have you ever had to elongate the slots in the striker bracket to bring the striker up more than the normal slots will allow? I have a 72 Nova and the lid is tight as hell to the tail panel when closed... it came that way. My other Nova has a nice gap there about 3/16 when closed. Ive been throwing around this idea about making the slots longer, but I didnt know for sure if it would help. The striker is up as far as it will go.

so obviously you have no more movement. How does it line up at the rear? Does it look like it needs to go back? Is the height right with the rear body panel behind your rear windshield?

It lines up pretty good everywhere...its just very tight at the tail panel when closed and latched. Good side to side. striker is all the way up in the slots

Checked it today, if I was to raise the middle, the sides would sit up higher than the quarters, so it looks like I'll just have to live with it. Its not that bad, but perfection is always the goal on these things... :)
