Not anything radical, just lowered and chopped.

Awesome!! Thanks grouch! I like the color and may do it the original "Revue Red" the car originally came with. Though I'm hoping do put some long, subtle flames!

Thanks again......Jay

argh! I accidently sectioned it with the chop.

I think you're right in going for the lead sled look for that car. It's slick.

Hey Grouch!

I just got my latest copy of Rod & Custom, and thought of your grill. I know this isn't a Photochop, but check this out...

I know it's on a '52 Chevy, but the '50 Olds grill with the '53 Studebaker floating grill bar makes the front end. Those are '52 Ford headlights, by the way.

If for some reason this picture doesn't work, you can find the car here...

Nightfire you are da man! That's exactly the look I'ld like though it may be some time before I actually have the cash for that!

That 52 Chevy has a nice long, low look.......the way a sled should be!

Wow, that is some beautiful work! I like the rounded corners on that hood. The headlight treatment is what I'd like to do on my Olds, too. That floating bar fills that big catfish mouth very nicely.

Seeing that car and the Oldsmobiles in this thread, it's apparent that what makes the front of my '49 so ugly is not the grill but the clutter around it: the teardrop vents under the headlights, the globe and orbit symbol, the lettering, the hood ornament, the bulkiness of the bumper and possibly the bumper guards.

I've had some weird network problems lately and just got back here to see that.
