How in the world did you re-chrome those? I can figure out the painting and chopping, etc., but everytime I try to do chrome it just turns out blotchy blue and white.

Attached is a side shot that I'm starting to tinker with. I've been trying out different wheels on it like you talked about. Gimp has a "measure" tool so I get the diameter of the existing wheel in pixels and then scale the new wheel image to fit that. None of them so far look good enough to let anybody see.
Just got in was out havin some fun

I cheated on the chrome grill, I cut a grill off of another 49 i found on alltheweb.com everything except the grill and the emblem with oldsmobile is yours touched up though....

**edit...Ron ill get on your allblack one soon as i get cooled off, its burning up outside least 105 + smirnoff = hotter than an eskimo in hawaii.

**came back after tryin for a good while,,,that fender is makin it almost impossible to get a good black with...tryin to find another fender to paste onto it, cant seem to find one that works....gonna change the ss in the back to the way its supposed to be under the mirror right above the bodyline where the color change is.....ahh hell heres a pic of one like you described heheh that was easier...Im still gona try and rig your original pic up, its a tough one i tell ya. if all else fails your gonna wind up with that one there cut and pasted with some torquer2s on it infront of that garage in your pic probably not....its gonna take some time. Ill be baahk....mabey....LOL

Here's a quickie for you in Microsoft Paint, I'll try to add color to it later with Gimp

Mike
You did that chop and drop in MS Paint? *That's* impressive. That's like doing the chop with a hacksaw instead of a sawzall.

I probably won't chop the Olds, but it's not going to stay up on stilts like it is now. One that I really like the looks of is at http://www.carnut.com/cgi-bin/image....in/twin030.jpg
which is a part of a list at

I really like the stuff that you guys can do witht he programs. my girlfreind is a wiz with photoshop but itsnt feeln to well right now. I was wondering what ya'll could do with this http://www.carnut.com/cgi-bin/03/ima...olm/olm141.jpg i have a truck like that with more rust tho and i wana know what it would look like lowerd a good deal, keep the white white, but change the blue to a hugger orange or similar, a deep bringht orange is what i want. and the wheels i would like to see some american racing torque thrust II's or realy some torque thrust's where the spokes are the same oranage as the truck and the wheel is the same white. One last thing, those gargantuan mirros... dont like, im thinkn some small ones on the door. thanks a bunch

**edit** forgot too id like to see the bottom trim deleted, grill a flat or semi gloss black and no fog lights on top of the bumpper

Grouch, I'll try to put some Cragars on your olds the way that car in the pic had, maybe I'll try changing color to blue...

Here a quickie 70c10

I dropped it in Microsoft Paint (I find it easier that way) and then quickly changed the color in Pshop (crap job) but it gives you the idea.....thats all I can do.

Grouch my main man bam bam shizzam heres a very rough copy of something I quickly did to your olds (killler car by the way). The Cragars came out too pixelated using MS Paint and I suck at color changing in Pshop but here it is

Alright guys, need an opinion on the belair again. I left the top on this picture, and did a few of the other mods that rich has planned like the extra teeth in the grill and changin it from a 4dr to a 2dr. This is with a picture phone, I will be able to scan it tomorow for a better look at it. I will be working on another sketch directly from the side that will show how the top will fold into the trunk.

Im a big fan of this body style truck (I want one!! ), but I think I killed it

What programs are y'all using to edit these photos? Just paint and photoshop? I've done a few pics like that.... unfortunately I have no proof. Didn't save the dang things.
