is the single plane intake the right setup for the CR & cam & torq converter ?

theres some veteran/experts on builds and combos that work together on here that will know. I need more knowledge on cam profiles.

If I am reading what you wrote correctly, I would double check your compression ratio. A -34 cc dish in the piston combined with a 68 cc combustion chamber in the head will not give you 10.5-1 comp. ratio. You would be 1.5 to 2 points lower. That would definitely affect power.

Im assuming you have headers? Is this a chassis dyno? I prefer the Edel performer RPM intake. Like others stated ign timing could be off.

We build quite a few circle track engines and street performance engines and most are the 383's here is a link to one we did 2 years ago using the AFR's and this engine was dynoed http://www.chevelles.com/forums/show...highlight=DYNO
and we have also bult a few engines using the the Vortec heads with similar results and I see your cam is a 292 ADV. duration which is a lot bigger then I would use and whats your lobe sep on that cam and see if you cam find out what is the duration at .200 ??

Here is a pic before going on the dyno
