newbie with a 56 F100 project

First of all, this is a great site. I've been lurking for a few months and decided I should join cause I know I'm going to post some questions eventually.

Me and my wife are starting a frame off rebuild of a 56 F100 that has been in the family for the last 20 years. Were trying to do as much of the work ourselves as we can. My wife really wants to learn how cars work so she is right in there every weekend. I guess I don't always realize how lucky I am.

Were in the final stages of disassembly and are now trying to decide between paint or powder coat for the frame. Were trying to keep it mostly original but we will probably add power brakes and steering. We will stay with the Y-block engine and most likely stay with the stock front and rear axles. everything else is yet to be decided.
Here are pics of where we started in July and where we are now.

Welcome to the both of you!!! My wife acts interested....but hasnt dug in like yours appears to have. Maybe she'll be more involved on the body work....or so she has promised. Looks like you have the makings of a nice machine. Best of luck.

Dave
