New to the board, I live in B.C. Canada, and have been fiddling with cars or trucks and other motorized things for the better part of half a century. All that time and I'm still just a greenhorn.
I bought a 1980 Trans Am a couple years ago to cut up for parts for my 1953 Mercury. Well once it was in the shop and all the snow melted off my kids fell in love with the thing. On closer inspection it was found to be in pretty good shape, so we tossed the tired 301, dropped in a 454, changed a rear quarter and splashed a little paint on it. Motors since been upgraded a little, the interiors getting swapped in from yet another doner car ( yes they tried to save that one to. Finally got the front clip for my truck ).
Been viewing this forum for a while during seaches for my various projects, great info, thanks .. 80ta
