Newbie and this is my project!

Fellow hotrodders,
This is my first posting to the bulletin board and just a few words about my project.
My 12 year old son and I have one great passion in common. Cars! Cars with lots of horsepower to be specific. As he is growing older and soon will have no interest in spending time with his dad, I decided to by a muscle cars in need of some TLC. Although having owned a '01 Mustang GT Conv. which I loved, my choice for the project car was easy - Third Gen. Z28 conv.
I found one in Los Angeles with a salvage title and a crushed front left corner.
To make a long story short, I brought the car to a body shop recommended by a friend in LA and had it fixed and repainted the entire car. Next steps are the interior and the engine followed by brakes and suspension. The winter is coming to Chicago and the garage is being prepped for work.
Before getting the car from LA to Chicago I need to fix a leaking headgasket. more about that later.

I'm looking forward to receiving and hopefully also giving advise on this board.

Thanks
