The coil does appear to be too high in resistance.
Did you install an RPM plug? I put the 3000 in when I upgraded from my 6 to the 6 AL. When I was sure all was OK, I connected the adjustable setting unit. I tried the rev limiter out at the 3000 to see what it actually would do while I was at it. My little 2.8 V6 don't like hitting the limiter too well. If all else fails, remove the unilite and try a regular distributor. I quit using my unilite as the lite modules failed as often as points needed changing. They were 65 bucks then. When it worked, it was great. |

yes module is installed.
7000 rpm module in fact. read out coil again (this time with new batteries in the digital voltmeter. on the primary side I get .35 ohms secondary side i get 4.35 ohms i disconnected the resistance wire coming from ignition and I get 12.67 volts DC I did the test on the distributor ( with the card in the optics) all checks good I bypassed MSD box and went from coil to the distributor and still no spark. |

Seems like the unilite module died then.
Yeah it helps to have good batteries in the meter. Time to try another distributor. BTW, i once was an EW and before that an ETR. |

ok i found another coil and low and behold the module test passes with flying colors now.
12.6 unblocked and 1.1 volts blocked mallory stated blocked should be below 2 volts. unblocked between 12 and 13 volts. So even though that MSD blaster SS coil read out good according to MSD it is definatly bad. |
