coda618 Get tom monroes book, " How to rebuild your small block Ford." Takes you through the process step by step. From removing the engine to teardown, machine work, assenbly etc. Excellent book. I have my copy for over 20 years now and still use it all the time (it shows too. Might be time for a new copy).

That book and an actual Ford shop manual for your truck will be all you will need. Oh, and of course some common sense.

C-10 First, welcome to Hotrodders.

Step by step can get way to keyboard intensive..

Do you have a reputable machine shop locally? If so, they are the one's you need to see.

If you have a gearhead friend or two, that would help. Do some research. Buy a book or two. Invest in some tools.

Best of luck.
